Letter to Laura

I have been seeing Laura as an intern Chaplain at Kirkhaven and learned to love her and our special time together.  I wrote a letter to her, as I am unable to attend the viewing due to being on-call as Chaplain.    My letter:  To my speical friend, I know now that the sun will rise and the days will start without you, but I know heaven is your new home now where there is no more sorrow, pain or tears.  Just know how much you were loved and I will miss our talks and those oh so many card games we played.  I will never forget you saying, "I am doing my Happy Dance" as you were winning or "your going down" as you were beating my butt!  I always kept telling you that I was going to take you to Vegas because you were always so darn lucky in those cards.  I know that the day you went to heaven an angel came and called your name and took you by the hand.  The angel told you that your place was ready in heaven far above and that you would leave behind all those who you so dearly loved.  Yet you knew someday you would take this trip, but I imagine as you turned to leave this world tears fell from your eyes.  But as you walked through those pearly gates to meet your love, I can imagine that you felt you finally were home.  I can see God smiling and Him saying to you, "This is eternity Laura and all I have promised you today, your life on earth is past, but here it starts anew.  You have been so faithful, so trusting and so true, and forgiven.  Now at last you are free.  So Laura take my hand and share your life with me."  So Laura, as the todays and tomorrows come and go I know in my heart we will never be far apart as everytime I think of you or pass your old room, I know your right here in my heart. RIP Dear Friend.
