Clifford Gushatte Moss, age 54, departed this life on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at his home in Rochester, NY with his loving wife and grandchildren by his side.
Clifford Gushatte Moss was born on October 17, 1960 in Cleveland, Ohio to his parents; the late Barbara Jean and John Edward Moss. Clifford later at the age of 4 moved to Los Angeles, California with his mother and three siblings. After the death of his mother in 1972, Clifford along with his siblings relocated to Queens, NY to live with his father John and step-mother Patricia Moss.
After high school, Clifford moved to Brooklyn, NY where he lived and worked in the construction business as a Master Carpenter and Plumber. Clifford loved building and remodeling old brown-stone homes in Brooklyn, NY. He would always say "just give me the Job and it's done". Clifford met the love of his life (Sharon Wilkerson) during summer of 1976. From this union became his first daughter Bylinda.
Clifford came to know the Lord through the North Greece Church of Christ. He gave his life Christ and was baptized on May 28, 2014.
Clifford is preceded in death by his parents, Barbara & John Moss, his son, Clifford G. Jr. brother, Edward Moss and a very special aunt; Pauline Reeves.
Clifford leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Sharon Wilkerson-Moss; three daughters, Bylinda McLellan (Joshua) of Virginia Beach, VA, Lashannan Wilkerson of North Carolina and Marquita WIlkerson of Las Vegas, NV. Seven grandchildren, Eternity, Joshua Jr., Chaz, Marquita, Jordan, Reggie and Nathaniel. He also leaves the mother he cherished, Patricia Moss of Centreville, VA; three sisters, Geneva Moss Cooper of Houston, TX, Angelique Moss and Stephanie Moss Peyton (Kevin) of Centreville, VA; one brother, Norman Moss (Judy) of Culpepper, VA; three nephews, Jovan Moss of Fayetteville, NC, William Cooper Jr. of Houston, TX and Jeremiah Moss of Culpepper, VA; five nieces, Venisia Moss of Fayetteville, NC, Kaui Copper Simmons of Houston, TX, Jessica Moss, Lilly Moss and Kennedy Peyton all of Centreville, VA and a host of other relatives and friends.
